About
About
This site is meant for bringing together like-minded researchers, faciliating discussions, studying papers, and collaborating on projects.
Our goal is to:
- extract fundamental computational principles of the brain
- build systems inspired by neuromorphic architectures
We seek to discover fundamental cognitive principles, build systems that approximate cognitive functions, and reverse-engineer the brain’s algorithmic architecture and circuitry.
Who This Site Is For
If you are focused on neuroscience, this is the place to:
- isolate brain circuits in the brain and identify the computational task perfomed
- describe the computational steps taken in algorithmic form
If you are focused on artificial intelligence, this is the place to:
- develop algorithms that are inspired by brain circuits
- clarify and optimize the underlying computational principle
- develop applications that do interesting things
This site was created by Jacob Everist, a co-developer of the BrainBlocks project.
